- Hand wash with like colors
- Use mild detergent, avoid bleach
- Avoid excessive wringing or twisting as it may damage the fabric
- Hang in shade, avoid direct sunlight
- Iron on a low or warm iron setting
πImportant to Note
- Batik fabric may exhibit slight color variations and irregularities in the design, which are inherent features of the handmade process and should not be considered defects.
- You may notice traces of brown wax residue, which can be easily washed off or removed with your fingers. These remnants are a natural result of the batik making process and contribute to the authenticity of the fabric.
- It’s common for batik to bleed in the initial washes due to its process. Therefore, be sure to wash your batik fabric with similar colors and wash the fabric before sending it to your tailor.
